england sqaud, please read roy

well what are the two things england have shown we are good at this year? the liverpool way and the british way. so lets play like that.

this means i have come up with 2 teams for england that would work brilliantly for both, i hope.

                                                            hart

johnson                          Cahill                           jagelka                                                gibbs

                                     gerrard                           wiltshire

                                                           sterling

sturridge                                                                                                 oxlade-chamberlin
                                                             rooney

this team compliments each other brilliantly in my eyes. johnson, gerrard, sterling and sturridge have all been deadly for liverpool this season and have worked brilliantly together.

hart has really proved himself this season with some match and possibly season winning performances and has really shown that he deserves to be englands number one.

johnson is brilliant all over the pitch with some amazing crosses and some match winning tackles, one of the most consistent and exciting players to watch this season.

Cahill has been a beast at the back this year. his performances and understanding with john terry is second to none. unfortunatly john terry will not be on the plane but hopefully we can see some of cahills match winning performances.

jagelka is one of the reason everton have been so brilliant this season showing more than he is just a scary defender but he has brilliant football technique and a great eye for the game.

gibbs, now i dont care what you say, he has been brilliant and a joy to watch. he has great attacking threat and great defensive abilities. if he is not on the plane alongside leighton baines i will certainly be throwing a tantrum.

gerrard has had a season of a lifetime, he is known as the wrecking ball for the lack of care for other players who are in the way of the ball. his passes are accurate and threatening and if all else fails then he has a killer shot. he has to start every game.

wiltshire, this was a hard choice between wiltshire and henderson but due to the fact that england aren't the best team out there i have picked wiltshire for his defensive attributes as well as his high work rate that he has shown for arsenal this season. i would defiantly bring henderson but he is not the first choice.

raheem sterling has been the best player in the premier league. the energy and composure he brings to liverpool has been outstanding, along with a little pace. he has played brilliantly in the central position for liverpool and has rarely put a foot wrong, many people as why rooney is not playing there, well simple answer. thats not his position. rooney is very hard working and likes the defensive aspect, well that doesnt make him a CAM, he is a cf which is the position i am playing him.

sturridge on the right, he played her for chelsea and did well for a short period of time but prefers to play in the centre of the park. well with rooney playing at cf, this allows him to make runs inside which allow him both to be a winger and striker with the main goal threat coming from the players on the wide.

rooney. your job is to run at the defence, stop trying to become the english pirlo because it is not working for you. you have 2 jobs: run at the defence and strike fear in them to open up spaces and then if that is not possible then you hold the ball up and play it through.

oxlade chamberlin, this season, meh. he hasnt been great. he had a long injury period but he hasnt been the best. so why am i bringing him? because bayern munich couldnt contain him, he is the man of the big moment which is what you need.

substitutes?
milner: he has been very reliable and gets crosses in and is a great danger going forward
walker: never really been a fan but he is young and has all the attributes of a great RB
smalling: can play RB or CB and is consistent
carrol: he is big with a good head on him and if we are to play the english way then he is the english man.
barry: has been the difference for everton this season with great performances and has one of the best passing figures in the league, if gerrard needs to have a break then barry is the man to step in.

now will he take any of the players i mentioned? well probably rooney because of the hype surrounding and all the tv endorsments that he will still be playing first team when man utd sell him to wrexham in 15 years. and defiantly hart but every other position has competition.
